In this lecture Michelle Marr and Julian Baker will attempt to explain some of the theories surrounding Bowen, what it is, why it works  using demonstration of application as well as drawing on their most recent research into Hamstring flexibility and Bowen treatment.

Biographies

Julian Baker is the Director and Principal Instructor for the European College of Bowen Studies. He has trained thousands of students in The Bowen Technique throughout the UK and Europe. He wrote the internationally best selling book The Bowen Technique and has made DVDs on marketing. Most recently, he collaborated in professional research examining the effect of Bowen on hamstring flexibility in asymptomatic individuals, which was formally presented at the Fascia Research Congress in Boston, USA in October 2007. 
 

Michelle Marr became a physiotherapist in 1995 and is a specialist in neurological rehab. She has worked in the UK, USA and Zambia. Following her Masters in 2005 she became Senior Lecturer at Coventry University and runs a private practice called Therapy Fusion Ltd.
